I'm referring to the red spots on the back of the cab.

Yes I did, maybe it was not a good idea. It had some bad rust Pitts from laying on it side for years, before it went to the barn. The gas tank was about half full of mud from laying on it's side. As luck would have it, I had a better tank.

No one should be using that material anymore. It swells from whatever you put on top of it and it will shrink as it dries out. It causes sand swell scratches to occur after its painted. There are 2K finishing putties that you should use and throw that stuff away

You must be getting tired of questions but, I have an engine that has sat out like yours how did you free up the pistons etc. No penetration solution seems to touch mine. The pistons are stuck and who knows what else. Jack

If your engine is not to bad, use some kind of penetrating oil in the cylinders. In the past I made a tool out of a old starter, put a nut on the shaft, bolted in place of the starter. Then turned it with a big wrench. That broke it loose. |

Try a 50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone, pour it into the cyls, let soak, repeat. FWIW

Are you going to do anything to the frame for strength? I just bought a 1930 closed cab last month. First problem was shearing an axle key as the castle nuts were too loose! Has Hydraulic brakes from a 1946 Ford pickup.
