You mean lined up on all 8 cylinders? I wonder what the probability is for that happening? Hope you're a statistician. Could you calculate that probability please for both 3 and 4 ring pistons, assuming say a 200K mile life, rings lined up within 1 degree, average 2000 rpm, ring rotational rpm of ???, etc etc. 8^) Jack E/NJ |

Nope, don't have a clue!
Point is, whether the gaps ever line up or not, it makes no difference. Engine will run the same. |
