Correction James: A $40 pile of scrap that you probably also have 6 hours invested in.

Dog, what's in a name? Jeff funny enough for you? Of course Model A coupes have 5 windows, but I was originally into Deuces which come 3's and 5's. Why are three's more popular? Because the doors are Wider and middle aged guys can into them more easily. But, I like fives. I don't have a dog now, my Lab, Thunder, died 5 years ago from cancer and I haven't replaced him-just cats sheep and chickens these days. As for your bite-read my profile, dude. I deal with tougher dogs than you every hour of every workday-unless of course, you're a Bichon. Or a cat.

Yo, Jeff,
Thanks for being a good sport with my Dog! He's literally saved me from the "funny farm" after losing my wife, Pat, last June. We have a lot in common, I do stained glass & favorite car EVER was my '32 5 window that could run Fresno to Pismo Beach on auto-pilot! Sad about your dog you lost, almost like losing a part of your heart. Bill W.

So where too many guys go wrong is buying complete engines at a higher price and passing on or lowballing blocks that are open to inspection. My A and B backup blocks have been inspected and baked, then coated with cosmolene. If they are to be built, the machinist would re-inspect before more money would be poured into the job. The rest of an engine seems to have very little real value at the various meets and barely worth keeping. Parts similarly valueless are transmissions and rear axles. Good Luck: Fred A

at one time I had 6 spare transmissions, 5 were given to me. used the guts from one in our old black Tudor, used the case from another in the blue Tudor. only moved one spare up to NC.

spare axle and driveshaft tubes are likewise seldom needed that's why they sell for a pittance. I have a nice used 3.78 ring & pinion stashed just in case, but do not expect to ever use it.

spare engine? had one that was given to me, running when removed but completely worn out. sold it for $99 when I moved and thought I made out great.
