Re: One Headight VERY Dim and cant find out why
Well here is the update. Cleaned everything, all areas of ground, wires, NEW Sockets, bolts, washers etc... Put in halogen SAME EXACT THING.. DIM...terrible! and did i mention i am on an NUREX alternator also.
PUT in 50/32 bulbs BETTER than PERFECT. Brights, running all working incredible!! LOVE it...BUT why the halogens that i have always used are not working...Very frustrating....what say you all now????

Re: One Headight VERY Dim and cant find out why
I had a similar problem, with NO lights whatsoever. I bonded the lamp housing to the frame/chassis ground and the lights work now. I used a plain copper wire from typical home romex electrical wire.

Re: One Headight VERY Dim and cant find out why
I have improved the brightness of all kinds of 6 volt bulbs by wrapping some brass shim stock in a strip around the size of a stick of gum around the plug conductor of the bulbs. I have seen some sockets that the inner diameter is too large for bulbs to make good contact for their grounds and were just wobbling around in the socket. You could also use a length of uninsulated copper wire wrapped around the bulb base as well. The trick is to make sure they are snug in the sockets.....
