KD 917 tool

well its strike 3 for me trying to buy one off ePay. So, it looks as if i am going to need to employ my Blacksmithing skills and make one...

If any one has one would they be willing to tell me a few dimentions (size of material, and overall length) and/or perhaps share a good straight on photo (to show how much offset the head has) the clossest one i found on the internet shows me a good design but lacks in telling me the basic layout.

Can anyone help???

or know of a better tool to get those darn horseshoe clips out when the spring is compressed.
