Default Re: Touching clutch and pp surfaces

I would. The latest issue of the MARC magazine, Model "A" News has a article about the two clutch discs. The article says to use the one with the green springs and give an example of the other type coming apart in use, requiring a clutch job.

Forget the brakes, they really don't work.
The clutch always sticks, and starts with a jerk.
My car grows red hair, and flies through the air.
Driving's a blast, a blast from the past.

Alas, mine does not. I’m reading here I leaned some have ‘caged springs’. Not sure if mine does. See photo
Do I need to order another clutch disc with green springs from the other supplier?

I would. I have been telling members for years to only use the disk with the caged springs. Bratton's has the correct one. https://www.brattons.com/CLUTCH-DISC/productinfo/11400/
