We had no issues getting in last year and the amount of entries seemed lower than the previous year. This year we weren’t able to register our vehicle. Little annoying but nothing
We can do. Mostly likely just spend more time at the Gilmore for Model A Days.

Last year they filled up in over a week. This year in under a week. Several years ago they had well over 800 cars and several (-me included) felt like we were in New York City bumper to bumper traffic.

While I feel badly that you did not get accepted, I'm not sure if that isn't actually a hidden blessing sometimes. Surely you have friends attending with their car(s) so you might be able to homebase with them and hang out at their car. When you don't have a vehicle (-or two) to 'babysit', it can give you time to go visit the houses and displays around Greenfield, and get rides with your friends. Heck, it is likely cheaper too, as pulling a trailer and buying the extra fuel to get there (-and home) can easily offset the gate ticket price. I have been going to OCF for maybe 10+ years now, and there is SO much going on that weekend that I have never seen up-close simply because I was doing other stuff. Likely you share the same? Maybe use that weekend to see the other stuff going on. Definitely consider coming even without a Model-A.

If you put “Walnut Grove Field, Dearborn, MI” into Google Maps it’ll take you right there.

Went last year and had a wonderful time. Maybe next year I'll make the trip again.

Yes - if it meets their requirements and you register early.

Colliertr:
Unfortunately the Old Car Festival was filled up in 5 days this year. The best chance is the first day in June. Always check out the Events page at the Henry Ford Museum. Here is the link:

The Old Car Festival at the Henry Ford is the first weekend in September. This year it is on Sept. 6-7. This is a very popular show and spaces fill up very fast. As I indicated in a previous post, this year was at capacity in 5 days. You are welcome to attend, but no spaces for cars I am afraid. This will be my 3rd year and it is defiantly one to go to at least once.

Registration this year opened up on June 2nd and filled up fast. If you can make it out we would be happy to meet you there.

In June they have the Motor Muster for "newer" cars.
The vehicle must have been produced between 1933-1978 and appear as it did when it was in daily use. Restored, partially restored and un-restored vehicles may apply.
This looks like a fun way to get around the show - https://youtu.be/AF9TJFgPlt8

I went to the OCF in September last year. I trailered my Tudor from NY along with some friends of ours who trailered their roadster. We had a fantastic time. Unforgettable. They said there were 720 cars there and nothing newer than 1932

My buddy Lamar Jones and I (Greg Wells) are planning to attend without cars this year, hopefully with our cars next year. We are both from the Atlanta area.

Some may recall me as the nutcase who bought a '30 Tudor sight unseen off eBay in Oregon about ten years ago and drove it home to Atlanta. Lamar owns that Tudor now. In June 2023, I bought a '30 coupe (look left) in Connecticut and drove it home down the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Hope we will be able to snag a few rides... and look forward to making some new Model A friends.
