Get a spare the same size as the rear tires. Different sizes on the front does not matter. It might drive funny but would get you home. If you want to use an odd late model spare, get a wheel adapter for an old Ford to whatever spare you find.
You would have to have the adapter recessed on the drum side so it fits flat on the drum. Last edited by Andy; 06-22-2025 at 04:35 PM. |

I was thinking of putting back on the 32 spare tire mounting bracket spreader bar and use a 35-36 tire cover to dress it up, using a 16 x 7.00 tire and wheel. This way I have more room in the trunk. I still have the rumble seat lid without the rumble seat.
