Maybe start a vintage photo post similar to the Friday Art Show on the HAMB? It would only be open for posts for a limited time. Might solve the excessive band width issue? Just asking.

Good call Uncle. I have been thinking along same lines. While I don't post or belong to the HAMB, I feel like I saw a very long thread just as you described over there while rambling through their 'hood a while back. What I recall is that the amount of really great photos was mind boggling. All those photos must be using up a lot of band width, but if computor savvy people like Rotorwrench and Ryan say it's better to have one long picture thread instead of a multitude of shorter ones, let's go for it. Maybe Dave will start it as he's so good at finding the ford pics. Either way, it seems a good compromise.

I agree with the last several posts about consolidating into a single post, but for the stiffness of creating such a policy. Part of the appeal of the Barn being a relaxed conversation, the regimentation of the idea smacks of over-regulation. If an idea has merit, it has no need of jack booted enforcement.

I enjoyed the photos but do believe they belonged within one topic.

It was waaaaaay too much, too often. Then they kept coming to the top with everyone commenting . Ryan’s suggestion was perfect.
To each his own…..I ignored them. Seems more like a Facebook thingy to me. |

YES, I liked Daves photos as long as they were of mostly early Ford V8 content. Thanks Dave. Hope you have not been scared away from the barn. Regards, Kevin.

The model A guys are a tough bunch. I hope he didn't quit the fordbarn completely. V8'rs seem more forgiving.

If you have Facebook type in the search area McClure Motors, Troy PA. There were 20 some photos it looks like from 1947-48 era. Some good shots of a K R Wilson engine stand and a flathead engine being rebuilt. They had race cars with some big names like Geoff Bodine and Dutch Hoag driving.

I've recently started re-watching the 1963 TV series "The Fugitive". Great acting and loving the cars and trucks especially!
