Nothing used on threads from the factory that I have ever seen. Quality-made brass fittings are more than sufficient to seal properly when installed correctly, this is especially true with pipe thread. However, if the flare on the fuel line itself is deformed or defective, that could be a potential cause of a leak. My '30 Roadster shows no trace of leaks, and everything is tight and dry without the use of any thread sealant.
