K, Yes, I think I've identified the drivetrain but want to get more info about motor..
Factory cast now.
Yes!! When I checked the steering box, empty, when I poured in heavy weight oil, I was expecting a leak but I got a break. The upper seal is just a felt gasket, oil level up it, the felt would probably leak.
Here are some pics, note there was even an exhaust leak at pipe and end piece....and note cut/welding for fit

Cast iron ones?, I noticed the connection to muffler was leaking below drivers side of bench seat. Now all I need to do is find a swap for a solid bumper, like kind and quality.
K is the man with the lost illustrations files and info!
I have a solid bumper and love it. When I first saw the cutout bumpers I thought they were cool, but ford dropped them in 1 year.

That exhaust manifold should clear the box. All depends on what engine mounts were used. If 64 FORD 289 style, some swaps need a 1" spacer between the mount ears and engine block.

EDIT-

Here is a brief tutorial to help understand the earlier FORD PN SYSTEM-

http://automotivemileposts.com/ford/...rtnumbers.html

It will help once you decide to cipher how the engine was assembled.
