Lee,I've never heard of a solenoid exploding.How did that happen?i've seen a lot of them go bad,but never actually open up.

Went to Snyder’s website and read the info on the starter. After reading the posts, still unclear if there is a 12v solenoid built in. Looking at the wiring diagram, it appears that there is. Need to know.

The instructions that came with mine said you could use the internal solenoid or bypass it and use an external one. I already had an external one, so I didn't use the internal one.
