Have you removed the cover and lubed all the moving parts?

The numbers on the speedo are new so it has been worked on, I think when the car was restored a few years ago. I expect it was lubed then but a dirty speedo surely would read slow, not fast. I think it will have to come out and go to the doctor. I'm wondering whether the magnet was "recharged" too strong but that will be for the speedo man to sort out.

Whatever you did to make it go fast, do it again.
It will then read in kilometers.

Then it can keep up with all the other speedos it now finds itself surrounded with.

D'oh, I didn't think of that!! It was strange working in miles again and listening to the GPS instructions. Downright weird!

Default Changed 19" tires to 16" tires - Speedo 5MPH Fast

I have a 1930 fordor with a later 4 speed tranny. I changed tires for 19" to 16".
My Speedometer shows 5MPH faster than GPS.
How can I fix?

A 3.27 diff ratio is 15.7% higher than the original 3.78 ratio. If you decrease the number of teeth by 15% (to the nearest whole number of teeth), you will be as close as you can get.
