I might have tried wiring a remote starter switch to turn engine with trans in gear while underneath the car.

Good luck, and I mean that most-sincerely! Myself.....I'm sure that I NEVER want to have a starter turning an engine with the trans in gear while underneath a car!!! That could become permanently LETHAL in a couple of heartbeats. DD
