The post that quoted Tom had a picture that showed an EF32 and although it says 12 volts Tom said it worked for him. Do they still work, have they changed the design, I don't know. Here is the thread;

The one I bought several years ago has a relay, capacitor, and resistor, so it wouldn't be effected by spark noise. Those mentioned that don't work with the engine running must have transistorized switching.

I was just playing with Ebay and there are several 6 volt electronic flashers which might work. I may go back and maybe order some.

Even though the EF32 [ shown as 12v ] still reared its head, none were an older Victor.
