Default Re: New brake drum and hub assembly

I can't tell you how many hubs, and drums our club has bought from Randy. His hubs and drums are the highest quality and he stands behind everything he sells. He is also available for advice and consultation. A great person to work with!

Our club swedges hubs to drums and have found that 23-25 tons on our gauge (I don't know how accurate it is) is just what it takes to get the job done right. You quickly develop a "feel" for when the metal has compressed enough. A 20-ton press is NOT ENOUGH pressure to properly swedge your hubs to your drums. A 30-50 ton press is what you need.
