8BA engine ventilation exits up the front stand pipe (vs down on earlier engines) and when capped and plumbed to a pcv (like mine) normally does not allow any oil to pass without a baffle. Installing a pcv under the intake on earlier engines is more involved to prevent oil loss or pcv failure.
