It looks like the Seymore paint refered to is their High Temp line:

Cast Blast is the color name used for both the 250 and 1200 degree rated paints.
Allot of auto parts carry the VHT line too.
Gettin' ready to paint a couple of manifolds will give the Seymour product a try.

Decided to try the POR Manifold gray....sure good to hear everybody's advice and experiences on this. This subject was discussed in several old threads but apparently still has some interest. How do I get to become a "Senior Member"....apparently age isn't the determining factor!

I choose to get some gas grill paint from Lowes and it has I think a 700F rating.... I picked black in color which I know is not correct but I like the looks.. thus far holding up well..

Keep posting... # count makes you a Senior Member. But once your a Senior there is nothing left...

I have been using the Bill Hirsch manifold paint. It lasts for a couple of years but eventually has to be reapplied.
