Thanks for the pic, Ted
No, it's a bit different with the distributor more in the center of the block, as I recall.
I was also able to find the needed parts today and have them ordered.
Thanks again, everyone
Jim

Kahuna, There is a large company located in Washington state named Perkins Pacific(www.perkinspacific.com), phone # 360-887-5900. They have branches in the north west including up here in Alaska. I think they have a branch in California. On their web site they are listed as a Ford Industrial Distributer. You might try them as I think that they can either help your friend out or steer him in the right direction. Hope this helps. Bill

I hear that the hardest thing to find for the Ford 4 cylinder industrial engines is the little oil pump drive shaft. It is a hex type shaft that can be fabricated from the similar longer versions FoMoCo used but shortened to the exact specs. Most of the other parts are still available.

When GM introduced the iron duke 4 cylinder, the market pretty much switched over to it and the little FoMoCo engine production slowed to a stop pretty quick. Since the Ford industrial engines were tractor based, most of that stuff was sold to New Holland. English Ford and Perkins used to have a working relationship back in the day. They made some of the parts for the Dexta diesel 3-bangers.
