Every mirror clock I have owned (including the one shown) stopped running from for two reasons: 1) Congealed lubricant; 2) Wear of the shafts & gears from the Model A's vibration. The solution is to use a quartz crystal clock with a battery.

Yeah, I did that but the battery went dead.

Wife's Timex wrist watch stopped working and I replaced the battery. It was still not working. Battery contacts were good because the back light came on. The watch went in the trash. Seems to me that the quality of Timex watches has gone down hill over time.
