Around this neck of the woods, back in the day, we referred to the radio and heater as a Jukebox and a Stove.

I had other things to do so I went about my business. A couple of days later I happened upon the two inspectors while on break. I asked them the meaning of NFG. They laughed and said those were the rejects and told me what NFG stood for. I chuckled about that for a long time and have used the term ever since.

Given that typically only younger people use "OG", it stems from the term "Original Gangster". Somehow it's morphed into use for anything that's an original.

Have used M/T on tanks back in the late 50's. Everyone knew what it meant.

If you had a stove, fiddle, white sneakers and duals you were cool. G.M.

I, for one, appreciate the fact that everyone here prefers to use the English language properly. This forum is like an oasis to someone who's around young people all day. No sense dumbing-down our interactions here to save eleven seconds of typing... uh, short bursts of highly informative, though non-grammatically correct responses not withstanding. haha. It's everybody else that's F.U.B.A.R. not us!

Got it, so it would meen instead of for instance, genuine Ford contact points from then are now NOS. If they were made by Standard, instead of Ford, would be NORS?
That it?
Thanks,
Martin.

If they take the time to put it in the right section of the Swapmeet it is an un-needed. Some people have a hard time figuring that out. Rod
