Re: Where is Bill?
I really do consider this site to be a valuable resource, and as an echo of previous comments, people need to be tolerant of others differences. This site is the people who post here, and the many different opinions they hold. Seems like every time I'm here I learn something new and useful. Is not that the function of Fordbarn. And I've got to say that old dog has had me rolling on the floor more than once with his humor.

Sometimes it's best to let a sleeping dog lie. If he can't play nice, he needs to stay in the doghouse!

Re: Where is Bill?
I think this little spat is just a ruse so Marco and Bill could run off with my two girlfriends. The skinny one had her eye on Bill's car, and the fat one was secretly reading Marco's posts behind my back. I should've suspected this long ago.

Very well said. Bill, if my dog Sadie shows up hanging out with Buster T, I would appreciate your sending her back to me. You can keep the girlfriend. She didn't like whitewall tires anyway.

Re: Where is Bill?
When Marco talks, I listen.
But I don't need yapping dogs in my yard except when they provide a useful service like getting the paper, the mice or the neighbor's cat. |

Re: Where is Bill?
I, too, wish Marco would return to the board. Marco, if you read this - come back, we miss you! He has a lot of knowledge to share with us. I am not a big fan of Bill's dog posts. Don't get me wrong, I like dogs, but I am not sure having a "dog" post on a model A forum is the best use of message space. A little humor is probably OK, but in small amounts in my opinion. I enjoy humor like many people, but I mainly read and post on this board to get helpful answers from model A people with their questions and responses. I have refrained from commenting on the Bill/Marco controversy until now, but feel I should voice my opinion, like a number of other members have. I hope Fordbarners don't criticizing me for my post, it is just my opinion. Everyone has one.

Re: Where is Bill?
There is a book maybe we should read/reread , "All I Needed To Know I Learned In Kindergarten, by Robert Fulghum. " you know., how to share, be polite, don't hit, or talk bad, ect! Does that ring a bell with anyone? I think we forget, there are real people with feelings (all be it sometimes to close to the surface) , on the other end of these posts. So play nice!

Re: Where is Bill?
Bill will be out driving his car or walking the dog.
Not sure why that interior guy thought the people making interior kits with foam needed to be killed but Bill thought that was a little extreme. As for what the elitists think, who cares? One of them saw my car the first hour after i got it road legal & spent over half an hour asking "Is this road legal?" "Yes, new inspection sticker, see?" "Is this road legal? The door handle is from a 31 & on upside down & the windshield looks like a repro' one" <font face="sarcasm"> "No, that is why it has new inspection stickers on it. It cannot possibly be road legal"</font> "Is this road legal?". I.D.K. what his problem was, probably thinks i should be banned from owning cars or something. But if the interior guy is reading this, Hi be glad you never saw my interior, not a kit, i did it myself & it shows!

Re: Where is Bill?
In my opinion this site should be about model A restoration and authenticity information. Jokes, personal anecdotes and stories, I think belong on our Facebook accounts rather than here.

Re: Where is Bill?
Marco had stopped posting well before this latest with Bill [ whom I think contributes something to this forum] but appeared again when the topic of Briggs body assembly & early Sport & Business Coupes came up. It was great to see him back & hopefully he will chime in on similar Production type subjects.

It looks like the thread is "kicking a dead horse" again!

Re: Where is Bill?
Agreed. This thread is a waste of space on the barn. Back to the A's now.

Re: Where is Bill?
Agreed, except I'd like to see photos of "dumb person" 's self-done interior. One of the nicest looking non-standard interiors (at least to an 11-year old) was the neatly sewn burlap and clear plastic upholstery in my Dad's 1932 B that he won for $1 in a raffle at Lockheed Aircraft in the early 1950's.
Hijacking thread - guilty. Non-Model A subject - guilty Sigh...
