"Kube" Thanks for posting that photo showing the corrected LB 39-40 headliner kit. I was not aware of that update. You sure do nice work. Be sure to include that new info. in your book.
I think their uncorrected version looks better. Does the AACA takes off points for cars having the uncorrected headliner? I'm not a contender, but would like to know.[/QUOTE] I doubt few judges, if any, in the AACA would know the difference between an absolute correct headliner and one that is "close". Plus, the AACA judges more so on the quality of the restoration vs. the authenticity (correctness). The Early Ford V8 Club supposedly judges on both correctness and quality. Still, I doubt few, if any judges would know the proper headliner. I hope, once my book is published the Ford Club will get back to the days when the '40 vehicle was strictly judged.

white64; I know this thread keeps getting longer but ideas keep popping up. Be sure and install all new tacking strips as the originals may have lost their "holding power". I got mine from Restoration Specialties but LB can probably supply them. Spray them with a light coat of varnish before installing to help deter future deterioration. Be very gentle when bending the metal tabs - as little as possible.
