Here are some pictures of my dash when I had it out and painted it metallic gray. It was blue. I also painted all of the garnish moldings and the little lamps on the door post the same color.
I think it look nice.

Yea, that looks AWESOME! Exactly how I thought it would and I think you've convinced me, that's the way I'm gonna go with it. Soon as I get my console built ill take everything out and paint it all at once. Thank u for the pics. That dash is just gorgeous, looks like jewelry!

I to like the look but I sure wish it was wood grained. I did look into having all my stuff W/G but the price was out of this world. At least for me. Maybe one day but for now it will do.

I've seen alot of people do faux woodgraining. From what I see it shouldn't be that difficult to do on ur own. I don't imagine it would be expensive materials wise either. Saw this on the AACA website, no credit to me:

"I saw the Overhaulin episode again, it was aired 12/2/09 on the Discovery Channel. Chip Foose sprayed a base color then used an acetelyne torch with no oxygen to put some soot over the base coat, then used a squashed acid brush to put the grain on it, then clear coated it. You really have to see him do it to believe how well it works. The car was a 1950's Nomad wagon, look up the episode."
