Here are two comparison pictures of the two years of Ford Standard Grilles, 1938 and 1939. You will note that the 1939 Ford Standard Grille only has single Chrome Trim Strips while the 1938 Ford Standard Grille has Double Chrome Trim Strips. Also note that only the 1938 model has the chrome Strips down each side of the Grille, near where it bolts to the Fender. The final answer is that the Grille that Fredb has is a 1938 Ford Standard. |
