Re: Thanks to Our Veterans.
Went to lunch today with another Vet in our model A's. Applebee's did a fine job of caring for us!

Re: Thanks to Our Veterans.
I went to the Texas Roadhouse for lunch. The meal was great and so big I had to take half of it home for supper.
I seldom go out for meals and had never been to the Texas Roadhouse before. |

1942 deluxe--thanks for mentioning that you were also at Shemya....a pretty small fraternity it is! I was there for about one year, 1968-1969, and it was quite an experience....and I was sent there about 8 weeks after being married.....our wedding gift from Uncle Sam. A year on remote duty, no leave to go home, no visitors, and 3 men to a room...but what memories and I look back with fondness on my time in the military!

Re: Thanks to Our Veterans.
Just noticed that Don Turley took his rant down about vets eating at Applebees and not tipping the waitresses (see his reposting again below). I agree with him. Eating the free meal is fine but stiffing the "hired help" is not acceptable, nor is "double dipping" and eating there twice in the same day for free.

Re: Thanks to Our Veterans.
I might add to Don's post above, and for the same reasons, that when you use a coupon (ie: BOGO) tip should be based on what it would have cost without the coupon (or other incentive).
