Agree, and the carbon can be caused by the plug not tightened enough. Look at the gasket ring. It should be flattened, not round like a new one.

Ok here is an update.I got the thread cleaner I ordered and done good job on plug threads.I installed new H10 plugs, replaced the manifold with all new gaskets,installed the rebuilt starter.Truck cranks much better now.I did retard the timing a hair.I still have this small misfire or a little rough idle.The only other thing I can think of would maybe in the carb?

Have CharlieNY rebuild the carb and Skip rebuild the coil, both do excellent work.

I took carb off cleaned and truck runs a lot smoother now.I had some sediment in the bowl.Only problem I noticed now is when I come to a sudden stop the truck just about cuts off.I noticed even going over speed bumps it wants to cut off.What could be the problem here?This is at idle speed when this happens.

OK,I finally found the real problem to my starting issue.I relaced the cable from battery to solenoid.The truck turns over almost like a 12 volt now hot or cold!Thanks for all the help gentlemen.
