It calls for 1/2" elbows, one at the water outlet pipe atop the water pump, and the other from the water inlet pipe on the left side of the block below the engine number, both drilled into the metal casting and brazed in place. His drawings indicate the inlet to the heater at the top and the outlet at the bottom. The thermostat he uses is from Snyders, 180 degree, Snyder part no. A-8270 or equivalent. The electric moter to the fan on the heater goes to the heater fan switch, a 10-amp fuse, and to the driver side of the electrical distribution box on the firewall. I was just looking at the above pictures and AL Bass's set-up is similar to the article... by the way, it is written by Anthony N. Gardner of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
