The "A-B-C-D-E" is the suffix for the rear spring assembly A-5560. They are listed in the Ford Parts Price List books.
-A is for body styles 55A,B; 130A; 140; 295A
-B is for body styles 35A,B; 45A,B; 49A; 50A,B; 54A; 68A,B; 190A
-C is for body styles 40A,B
-D is for body styles 60A,B,C; 130A,B; 155A,B,C,D; 165A,B,C,D; 170A,B; 255A
-E is for body styles 76A,B; 78A; 79A,B; 82A,B; 85A,B; 150A,B; 225A
