Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
Tom, you must be gettin' cabin fever... You need to cruise down to the Moonshine Festival.

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
You are so right - I need to take another long ride but I am really hoping to do it in my new ride! Hope to see you in the spring at the next Fordbarn event with it ....

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
Sounds like a plan. We'll start putting the 2017 Cigar City Flatheads "Barner's Bash" together when we return from the Moonshine Festival.

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
Today I made some oversize clevis pins. Each one was made to fit it's respective brake link. I estimate I eliminated 3/8 to 1/2 inch slop in my pedal travel.

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. But it makes us realize how fragile life is and appreciate the blessings we have. I pray for comfort for the family and friends and a safe trip for you, Vic.

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
On the trip up to see my friend, and the trip home, my old service related injury acted up and my left knee basically locked up on me, making it almost impossible to walk without assistance. It is still not back to normal so, I've opted out of going to the Moonshine Festival with the other Cigar City Flatheads. I'm waiting to hear from my friends daughter as to when they are scheduling the service for my friend on Long Island. I hope I'll be able to walk unassisted before I get on an airplane...

Vic;
sorry for the loss of your friend. Boy the hits just keep coming don't they. Had both my knees replaced over 16 years ago. Hope the docs can ease your pain & find a solution for you. B-O-B |

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
Thanks Bob, it's an old service related injury, I dislocated my left knee while in Basic training, was in a cast for five weeks... Only good thing was it got my orders changed from Infantry to Artillery... LOL That was 47 years ago. Problem is, every now and again it acts up... This time it really went off the charts... Hopefully I'll be able to fly to New York next week to attend my friends service...

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour
I just got a call from the Cigar City Flatheads crew heading up to Dawsonville, Georgia for the Moonshine Festival, so far, so good... sure wish I was cruisin' with them... Have a good time, say hi to everyone for me and post lots of photos.
