Default Original Radiator Support Pads

During your disassembly or viewing of an original, unmolested Model A/AA Ford, what type of radiator support pads did you happen to see between the radiator and the front cross member?

Rubber pads with cloth reinforcement, leather pads, or brake pads?

Thanks.

Yep highly compressed brake pads on my 28. My 29 had a repro radiator, so it isn't reliable for the pad material. I don't know what my 31 has, and can't get to it, but I'm sure it's still original.

I don't feel so bad now...My early 1929 Tudor also has brake pads.
