Wow. This is why I lock my car, but I'm surprised the guy knew how to get it started.

The guy looks as though he was once human. Cut his hair and clean him up and he would look human again, and that just what his court appointed and paid for lawyers will do. What's really scary is that "deer in the headlights" look in his eyes. You're looking at the pyschological effects of pot, dude! I smell paranoia. Drug induced paranoia to be sure. He probably thought he was ripping off a plaything of a one percenter or some such scenario.

Like others, I find it hard to believe he was able to start it. Were the keys just sitting in the ignition? If not, how would he know how to hot wire it? Also, how many people who haven't been around Model As know where the starter button is? Or how to choke it? it's not like a modern car where you just turn the key to make it run. And it would be even harder to start a Model A for the first time if you are "messed up" on alcohol or drugs. I know old guys who have been around other old cars that don't know how to start or drive a Model A. Something is weird here.......

I have to wonder if he just put in in neutral and coasted down a hill into the drink. That would be easy enough for a idiot.

I like to talk about the weird people here in the Portland area but I don't think they are much weirder than people elsewhere. I have traveled a good share of the US over the years and I think you find good and bad people everywhere. But I think the people of Oregon in the outlying areas of Oregon are very independent people and they work together when the need is there. So there are many good people in this state so please don't trash it.
So guess the point of this rambling is please don't give the Oregon people such a "bad" name. You will find all types of people in the world today, some good and some bad. Maybe more fitting the bad category than there was a number of years ago.

I think we all share in noticing how people's human minds are so different "everywhere" today when compared to years ago.
Appears that nobody can predict which State or which Country will experience for example the next group of Kindergarten student children that will get stabbed, shot, or kidnapped. When small drug peddlers are caught, their hands are slapped, & they are later turned loose. Ever wonder why no investigation is conducted to find the highly protected source of the drug dealing wholesalers. Mass fortunes are made everywhere with laundered drug money. |
