Default 1930 pickup body blocks

All I can say is crap lol...........After finishing the top on my pickup we started getting ready to mount the cab to the frame. Just like all the other wood Ive bought, it looks like the body blocks are 30% thicker than they should be. I need to step back and think about this or ask you guys where to start...........Im pulling everything I can find in print now but any advice would be great.

Why do you think they are "30% thicker than they should be"?

Do you have originals to compair to?

Did you get them from a reputable Model A Ford Parts house?

Do you have the rubber pads attached to the bottom of the blocks?

Ive got the rubber pads on hand. When I fit the wood blocks to the bottom of the front of the cab, they hang 3/4" lower than the bottom of the front cowling. Just seems wrong

OK...I think I see what is going on here...you have the very front cowling body blocks within the front section of the cowl and the other body blocks on the rest of the cab.

I think the reason the front ones look lower is that they are actually not...you need the front cowl body pad, which is placed between the body and the frame...this will take up that space.

Am I seeing that right?
