The "boosters" i mentioned are in the cast iron base,i dont know what to call them but boosters, ken ct.

I knew what Ken was trying to say. One way to describe it to those who may have never seen one is that Stromberg did make a 97 carb with a triangular base, vaccuum port and a power booster/valve like a Holley 94.

These Elmira, NY made Strombergs were later production carbs that were meant to be a direct replacement for a Holley 94 and were sold at NAPA and other retailers in the '50's.
