Yes, Coach Maroon with Vermillion Stripe was a correct color scheme for 1933.

Standard vehicles had black wheels or color by special order and a Deluxe with this color scheme would have had Aurora Red wheels or optional black.

In 1933, fenders, fender aprons, taillamp brackets, and spare tire cover were black.

One thing incorrect on this car was that, as a Standard, the windshield stanchions and frame should have been painted black and the top material should have been black.

I've attached a picture of a different car that is a restored, black '33 Standard roadster with the correct black windshield frame, stanchions and top.

There is nothing prettier than a '33 open car, nothing.

Hi Randy,

The '33 standard roadster and the photo are really special. Any info on the photo such as the date it was taken?

I have a NOS Standard (black) '33-'34 roadster/phaeton W/S frame, complete with the original tag hanging on my TV room wall. It is not for sale.

Hi Walt,

No, I don't know anything about it and I don't even remember where I got it. I have an idea of who it is, but I hate to say since I don't know for certain. Looks like he was on his way to a fancy event, though!

That's quite a treasure, Mike. I don't know much more about the cabriolet than what I put in the post. I owned it for a while, put about 11,000 miles on it including a trip to the Grand Canyon, and sold it. It now resides in Oklahoma City.

Here's an unrestored standard phaeton with a repro chrome windshield frame but still with the black stanchions. It is supposedly the phaeton used in a 3 Stooges movie.

Nice work! I like them stock, but that's a great looking Cabriolet! I really like the chop and the top, plus admire the work you put into the door glass frames! Great looking color combo as well.

It took a while; I think I figured how to do this.
I have been watching this site for quite a while. Being a newbe I have learned a lot from the regulars. I hope this reply works.

My '34 pickup, "Amos" (please ignore the "Breakfast of Champions")

This is "Amos" at church. Mrs Mosse does not allow me to have a "Breakfast of Champions" before church.
