Damn, is there anything prettier than a 33-34 Ford!!! Thank God I have two of them, a 34 3 window and a 33 roadster....

Yes, Coach Maroon with Vermillion Stripe was a correct color scheme for 1933.
Standard vehicles had black wheels or color by special order and a Deluxe with this color scheme would have had Aurora Red wheels or optional black. In 1933, fenders, fender aprons, taillamp brackets, and spare tire cover were black. One thing incorrect on this car was that, as a Standard, the windshield stanchions and frame should have been painted black and the top material should have been black. I've attached a picture of a different car that is a restored, black '33 Standard roadster with the correct black windshield frame, stanchions and top. ![]() Last edited by Randy; 01-29-2011 at 12:07 AM. |

RANDY ...........................
I have a NOS Standard (black) '33-'34 roadster/phaeton W/S frame, complete with the original tag hanging on my TV room wall. It is not for sale. Please tell us the story about that '34 Cabriolet ! MIKE ![]() |

No, I don't know anything about it and I don't even remember where I got it. I have an idea of who it is, but I hate to say since I don't know for certain. Looks like he was on his way to a fancy event, though! Quote:
Here's an unrestored standard phaeton with a repro chrome windshield frame but still with the black stanchions. It is supposedly the phaeton used in a 3 Stooges movie. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Randy; 01-29-2011 at 04:08 PM. |

Nice work! I like them stock, but that's a great looking Cabriolet! I really like the chop and the top, plus admire the work you put into the door glass frames! Great looking color combo as well.

242.jpg It took a while; I think I figured how to do this. I have been watching this site for quite a while. Being a newbe I have learned a lot from the regulars. I hope this reply works. |
