Bill, while you are studying carbs, here is one that you may not have seen lately. This is a cast iron Simmons. The Simmons is a performance carburetor that looks similar to a Zenith. Notice the drain plug under the bowl, it has a high speed jet similar to a model B carb. When it is clean it outperforms a Zenith !!! Throw it away? HELL NO!!!!!

if you have the overhead room, build a loft for parts, and park under it.
Sorry the photos are so dark.

Hey, don't listen to these guys that tell you to get rid of stuff. Do as I did. I didn't have enough room in my 2 car garage so I built another two car garage. That one got filled up too so I built a 3 car shed to keep stuff. That started to overrun so I built about a 4 car sized barn. When that one got to where I couldn't move in it I built me another 3 car garage so that I could work in it. But now I have 4 cars in that one and lots of other car junk in it so that I can't do any work in there....hmm. Maybe you shouldn't listen to me after all.

Well 28RPU that is exactly what I did and now I need to clean out because I have run out of room in all 5 of my garadges and sheds. Im cleaning out and am going to take down three of them and build one big one. hopfully I can put all four of my As,a english ford and a 48 plymouth in the one Garadge and use the one shed that I save for the parts as I rebuild them one at a time .

Never saw a Simmons. I have a Winfield updraft with a perfect operating needle & seat that I'm quite shure I can make it operable. The fuel sprays out through Minute holes in the hollow throttle shaft. Bill W.

Amen to that. I keep buying stuff I already have and have forgotten about! Probably couldn't find it even if I remembered I had it.
