A lot of talk lamenting the lack of young people involved in the flathead world lately -- check out this video from the Trompers club in Eagle Rock California covering the 2025 Pasadena Roadster Club Reliability Run.
My old '40 appears briefly right at the beginning -- my father bought it in 1951 when he worked at Blair's speed shop. It was wrecked by a drunk in a white XKE while sitting in the driveway when I was nine years old. Put it back together using another old Pasadena hot rod one of the old man's friends rescued from a wrecking yard for $25 years before. Not much to look at, but a whole lot of history there. Anyway, be sure to stay with the video until about half way through when the going gets pretty interesting way up in the San Gabriel mountains. These guys really get it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Alot...cJCdgAo7VqN5tD |

This is my "barnfind" '41 Mercury. This is the second one I have owned. The first one I bought at the age of 17 for $45. This one cost a bit more but it was still a good deal. It is a really solid car, which I call Planet 1. It is like a good used car only a couple of years old.
