In a car with an indented firewall you don't have that option. Not to mention they fit a ¼" gas line.

BTW, the new ball valve shut off valves that Snyder's has work great. Finally someone improved the POS original type of valve. No leaks.

I had one on a 30 , worked fine until the summer temps and then started to be intermitant then totally failed on a tour . Took it off and trashed it . If you run one carry a 1/8 nipple fitting to remove it on road or another fuel line so when it fails your not stuck ,Learned my lesson and wont happen again.

Hello again, with the indented firewall the electrical shut off is useful, to use the original you have to open the hood to turn it it on or off.Not that hard for long term storage, thank the state of New York for relocation of the shut off .
