Default 31 Model A SW Town Sedan Front Seat Restoration

I am restoring the front seat on my 31 Town Sedan.

I have the wood frame for the front cushion.

I do not have the wood frame for the front backrest

I can not located the wood frame for the front backrest. It is not listed on any of the suppliers websites.

Does there exist a wood from for the front backrest.

How is the backrest connected to the metal seat?

Thanks,

don't recall back wood frame, just tack strip on seat back top, 1 vertical wood strip @ each vertical side inside edges and wood horiz.tack strip via holes in lower photo. Perhaps 2 wood cross braces missing on seat bottom frame ?

Found this one pic on Google images , says 30/31 front seat . Also a couple pics of my 30 Briggs TS front seat after I recently put some aftermarket covers on it . Wood strip up the ends , and what feels like about a 1" square strip across the bottom for tacking . didnt have all the padding / material off , so not sure what the top is like . Hope it helps .

John, I restored one of these. See the pictures in my album "My A". I made one extra of these frames and I have it for sale, same model of seat. There are three, see Snyders catalog, in the seat section.

I am having the same issue. Did you find the solution?? I thought I lost the wood piece(s) that holds the springs in place? Someone said there are just straps that are tacked to the tack strip that hold the springs in place ? Maybe someone will post some pictures. Also a picture of the correct springs would help
