Is any type of adhesive used on the rubber gaskets for the rear skirts??
How exactly do they go on???

Re: 54 Mercury skirt gasket
I use the 3M weatherstrip adhesive. Is there any small holes where the gasket goes? If so, they were held by staples. I've used both on my 56 Tbird. Glued the gasket down and then used the staples. made my own out of SS wire.

Re: 54 Mercury skirt gasket
No holes, or staples ( the skirt is solid metal),just adhesive, then I use a series of clamps over night.
