Default 29 CCPU Top Renew

Working on a 1929 Closed Cab Pickup that I acquired in pieces and I'm trying to learn how the top is where the wood meets the metal parts of the cab??
Are there rain gutters and, if so, where/how do they mount?? What happens where the rear side cab meta nails to the roof wood?? How are those panels/nails covered ?? I have a sample of "Hidem" but where does it go on this roof ??
Thanks in advance for any advice/help.

Sorry no better photos.

Fabric is stretched and nailed close to the edges of the wood. Hidem goes most of the way around, except for over the doors, hiding the nails. The rain gutters are two piece and nailed over the fabric, over the tops of the doors. The second piece of the gutter is snapped over the nails.

I am restoring a 29 CCPU right now. One every 28-mid 30 pickup and AA truck has the nails (or most of them) at the top of the corner panels exposed. Ford should have extended the corner panel metal behind the door up another 1/4" or so, so the nail heads wouldn't show once the top material was installed. The CCPU's and AA trucks were commercial, so I suspect Ford didn't really care if the nails showed.

Hi Russ:
I'm located in San Mateo Ca. Is there any way to do a PM so we can get together in person?? I would love to have you come see my project !!
Love how yours looks. Mine is "ALMOST" ready for paint and I'm trying to ensure that all the necessary fab, altering, and repair is done and ready for upholstery prior to paint.

Thanks Bob !! I found that link after posting my question. It does answer lots of questions. In the photos, it looks like a "welting" is sewn and applied at the bottom of the roof wood so it "bridges" the wood/cab metal joint. Looks like the fabric is stretched and nailed very close to the bottom of that welting following finally by the "Hidem" and gutters.
Again, thank you.

I'll risk posting a few pictures.

This is how I did it after reviewing the pictures in Bob C's link.

First is the bare repaired top wood.
Then the underlying fabric, this is visible from the inside. I glued this to hold it before nailing.
Padding and welting.
Top material and hidem.
