It's a little late for you, but at least, now you know.

This forum is a great resource for many things, unfortunately including this sort of stuff.

Now you know where to check this out.

Run Forest Run. Cyclone racer in NZ got shafted 13K and got nothing nout zip nada . He is using a borrowed motor at present and his own is getting built down under by a trusted flathead guy. Must be close to done by now. Of course there is two sides , but i feel eric the scammer needs a mob knee cap visit .

While there may be 2 sides to most arguments . . . in the case of GoCat, there seems to be MANY arguments from guys who paid good money and never received what was promised. Sad to see and not a good thing to have in our hobby.

Luckily the Barn knows about (and talks about) most scammers - we take care of our own around here!

FYI, he’s back at it. Reached out to me to build my flatty. Then googled the name and found this. I’d rather build it myself anyway!

Ask him if he's finished all the orders he's behind on who've paid him already, specifically that guy from New Zealand who he stole the money from and blew him off.

He made the radio today (local Denver channel, 630am) on a consumer advocacy show called “Tom martino, the trouble shooter.” Sounds like they received other calls and emails of other people being screwed. Show will be up on podcast eventually if you want to listen. Was about 1-1.5 hours into the show. Hopefully they can help the most recent victim.

The radio show can be found on Spotify as a podcast. The Tom Martino Trobleshooter Show https://open.spotify.com/episode/6ZEbP1DSsKAK7R0iBGSrAl
The case starts at about 35:50 minutes from start

Anyone know if that Tom Martino show ever helped anyone get their money back? He sounded pretty pissed on the radio.

The problem with most guys like him is that they don't have any money to go after - they're busy spending whatever they can scam from the new guys . . . just to pay bills and survive.

At present I'm trying t build a street engine that will have adequate power, good fuel economy , at a reasonable cost. Unfortunately, the engine is not acceptable in most places because it has no "speed equipment" or fancy "stuff? amd looks like a stock engine,
Actually, it really is quite stock. I've eliminated all the stuff that can cause trouble away from home. like fuel pump, generator, early water pups and fan./ Engine should produce 20/30 ft/lbs of torqur between 2/3000 rpm, 20 + MPG and cost aprox 3K$. Run 50 75K miles before rebuild with proper maintained.
Another problem, finding all the right stock parts needed.. All you need is parts that have a long life. the only mod id highr compression, and that's not as easy as you think!!!
Gramps. What do you thing the stock compressiom of a flathead is????

Hey, don't think you fellas in the U.S. have a monopoly on these sort of A holes they are everywhere in every vocation just out to fleece you with minimal effort on their part.

It is amazing the skills you can master with time and effort and do your own thing ( limitations apply ) probably why it took me 30 years to build my own home, anyway I have now had to cancel my on line ``brain surgery `course to devote time to my flathead project.
