Default Post machine shop head check

Got my heads back today. Inverted them on the bench with spark plugs installed and filled chambers with paint thinner. After about 5 min. there was seepage from most of the valves. After about 30 min. there was still liquid covering the valves so the leak isn't too bad. Should there be any leakage at all or will they seat better in service. I don't see any sign that the valves were lapped.

Any leakage that takes several minutes to notice is no problem. Your valves are sealing just fine, and may even seal a bit better after starting the engine since any dust particles on the seats will be gone then. What you see is normal for valve sealing.

Thanks. That's good to know. Had me worried.
