1934 Ford Rack& Pinion
Decided to replace my manual rack and pinion with power one. Has a Pinto front on it which I think is same as a Mustang 2. Are there any differences in the power ones or will it bolt right in? What’s the best pump for it? Thanks.

You are in the wrong place. This site is for restored, and mildly hot rodded in the traditional sense, old Fords. Not new IFS stuff.

Re: 1934 Ford Rack& Pinion
Wrong forum. Try the HAMB, there is a lot more experience with street rod suspension over there. Also contact Flaming River in Ohio, they sell replacement r&p and may be able to help with specifications. Also there were differences in the r&p across the various years of Pintos.
Dont be afraid or offended by the attitude in this forum, its just that the focused knowledge is to "original" and "flatheads", however most posters are very willing to share any information that may cross over to a street rod. |

Re: 1934 Ford Rack& Pinion
Again, this kind of stuff (IFS, R & P steering) is off-topic on the H.A.M.B. as well.
And if one would feel offended by the "the attitude in this forum", you would be well advised to avoid the H.A.M.B. Although not nearly as extreme as it was in the past, some of those guys can be brutal. Best case, your thread will just disappear. Try a "generic" forum, like "HotRodders.com". |

HINT, Contact the Street Rod vendors that sell the Mustang II or Pinto kits and ask them.
