Hello, I am hopeful there is someone who can identify this vintage FOMOCO tool. It is stamped with part number ECS-2882-G. It appears it is part of or attaches to something else. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Might not even be auto related, could just be a bracket or support for something else.
