Default Thanksgiving Day .

I wish you all a wonderful day . As I am English I am very pleased that after over 300 years later you celebrate the landing of my countrymen in the New World . Mixed feelings on July 4th I fully understand the reasons for wanting to be free of the king . I blame him he was nutty anyway !!! . The English are the foundation of your nation but immigration will only allow me to stay for 90 days !!!

we have a lot to be thankful for this year at my home.
you could certainly stay longer then 90 days, but you might have to marry an American.....

there are always ways around the system. buy 4 Frontier tickets a year! lol

Morning John and Thank You for the 'Holiday Well Wishes'.

We'll offer you some turkey, a 'local' Holiday specialty.

What happens if you come to Canada for a day or 2 or 3? Can you return to the US for another 90 days?

And a happy Thanksgiving to everyone as well. Just got a text earlier this morning from our daughter that our grandson is sick and tested positive for Covid, so they are not coming for the big meal. Will miss them. So not as happy for us as it might have been.
Do take care everyone, and enjoy the day.

John,

In 1989 my wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with a two week tour of England, Scotland, and Wales. Our oldest son was in Edenborough on a work project so we got to see quite a bit of beautiful scenery. But as the saying goes - ain't no place like home. We

A few years ago, my wife and I were on a tour in New Zealand and part of it was a themed dinner. At the table were people from all over the world, including a couple of youngish girls from America. We were the only non Americans who had visited the there so others were interested in our thoughts. We basically agreed with your comment. I said that it was a good place to visit but I don't think I could live there. The American girls had been travelling quite a bit seen another side to the world from what they had expected when they left home. They understood why someone might think that way.
It seems to me that no matter how crappy we might think another country to be, it is home and therefore the beat place in the world for those who were brought up there.
BTW, Thanks giving is seen here (by all I know) as an American thing that we don't understand. There is no feasting nor celebration and certainly not a holiday.
