Default Crankshaft wanted

City: Cokeville
State: WY

I need a crankshaft for an 81A, 85 HP Ford flathead. These were, according to Ford literature of the day, produced in 37/38. There's lots of carry over to about 1941. This crank has the small rod journals (1.999") and the mains are the same as the 59A (2.138"). I want one that will grind to no more than .030 under size. No rusty swamp monsters, please. I've got enough junk parts.

At no time were the mains 2.138"
Start 1939 85HP only 91A6303 Main 2.499" Rod 1.999" Slinger type
Start 1939 95HP only 99A6303 Main 2.499" Rod 2.139" Slinger type
Start 1942 100HP 29A6303 Main 2.499" Rod 2.139" Rope type

I think this is right in it's brief form. If not some of the engine people will jump in I hope.
I have a good crank that the mains are at.010" under and now check at 2.488" with the rod journals checking at 1.986".
I have a PM to you with contact info if interested.

Gary is right. I got my numbers mixed up. Th rod journals for the 59A shaft are indeed 2.138 to 2.139 epding on which specs you're reading. Ford specs that I have say 2.138. The ins are the same for both 81A and 59A engines. The crank I need is for the 85 HP with 1.999 rod journals.
Gary, I got your message and will contact you by email. Thanks.

I want to thank everyone who took the time to respond. However, The block I'm working with has a huge crack in the water jacket, inside the lifter chamber. Not repairable. I'm sad now.
