Default Pools of oil on the manifold?

Anyone ever have this happen?? I recently replaced the stock 1000 lb(Maybe less) cast intake manifold on my 352 FE motor with a lighter aluminum edlebrock.

I noticed the bolt holes in the alloy intake were a little bigger than the ones in the stock manifold, but didnt really think it would make a difference.

Im using locking washers, so im sure the oil is getting passed the manifold/washer interface.

The motor is original to the car(58 fairlane), and has over 300K on it. So crankcase pressure is high, she's a tired old motor. The reason I switched manifolds was I had thought my over heating was due to a water bypass being blocked, and was correct. But now I have oil pooling on the manifold.

Would some gasket sealer and some flat washers fix this?

Has anyone tried in vain to kill a problem like this that can offer some advice?

Cheers and beers

I would think not all the bolts have a puddle under them. Take those that do out and use a dab of sealer on them. By careful not to over tighten the bolts on that aluminum manifld. Make sure the crank case breather system is clean and working.

Roger that. Breather is new. Maybe just having one isnt enough. You are correct in not every bolt is leaking...My big ford book, doesnt have a toqrue spec on the Alloy manifold, any idea what that might be??

Thanks for the help so far..

Cheers and beers

i read something online about the head/intake being somewhat even or the valve cover will leak and the dist could leak if it's not lined up in the hole.
