Default Another vacuum wiper issue

I doubt anyone has seen this, but figured it would not hurt to try ----- My wiper works fine going in one direction, but not the other. It goes fine in the same direction of 'off'. And it pulls snug when I turn it 'off'. But it will not go in the opposite direction. The 'valve rocker' is flipping fine, and I'm fairly sure the 'slide valve' is sitting over the two holes correctly. I hear air passing somewhere, but can't determine where.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What brand?? Have you "dis-assembled" it to see if the paddle needs lubrication?? Are the mating surfaces "bowed"?? Is the gasket in one piece??

Mine used to operate like that until I opened it, cleaned out all the older grease and re-oiled it lightly prior to assembly. Also, check the housing as if it has any sediment or corrosion in it this could impede the paddle movement.

It's a Trico brand, but not sure what 'model'. It looks exactly like the one pictured in http://www.modelabasics.com/wiper.htm, except the two mounting 'wings' have shorter 'cylinders' at the end. I had to use a few washers to push the unit further from the windshield.

I did disassemble the unit, cleaning and lubricating. Paddle seems good, but I'm no expert. It seems to swing smoothly in both directions with the same amount of 'drag'. I just put a new gasket along the top.

Thanks

Possible vacuum hose is leaking between wiper and manifold? Or kinked?
Just spit balling here. Jeff

Minervas' wiper acted the SAME. With a short piece of hose & moving it back & forth by hand, I injected some HIGH TONED Gun Oil & it worked PERFECT! I "think" the paddle grease was just GUMMY???
ALSO, if worried about the reversing valve, move wiper slowly by hand & you can hear it "CLICK"--
