The tooling is ready to go for the first sample castings. The first 20, or so, go to Snyder. They will be available in iron also.

Back in July 2002 Secrets of speed magazine had a piece on using a 82-84 Datsun / Nissan dual plug ,dual coil four cylinder distributor.........could be an option ?

Nissan dual plug one the way to go , I run one on an 8 plug McDowell, Had a few stashed away for spares , I think it fires the intake side 1st then 12* later fires exhaust side, might have that around wrong way , simple to fit , Derek headed to AZ,

Differing ways to accomplish same goal. As mentioned, some more modern distributors (Nissan, etc) are used. Another way Is to use Charlie Yapp front timing cover 'stock' looking 4 cyl distributor..up front, and to also use a mag or another 4 cyl dist up top. |

Very nice! My Dad built a Pietenpol back in the 60s (used a Continental A-65) I still have the plans and thought of building one someday. Car engines in aircraft scare me a bit but this would help.
